Accommodation around Serengeti Centre |
Serengeti Serena Lodge |
Located on a hill with awesome views across the sweeping plains you’ll find Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge. Home to the great migration, the Serengeti offers you an abundance of wildlife to enjoy from all the “Big Five” to gazelle and other ungulates. The unspoiled wilderness of the Serengeti allows you to witness big game feeding in full view from the lodge as you enjoy luxury service. The lodge design is simple but stunning. Inspired by a traditional African village, separate "rondavel huts" house the 66 luxury guest rooms and all have their own private shower and toilet. Each room has a balcony and their own view of the vast Serengeti plains. From the overall impression to the smallest detail, the lodge is rich in local atmosphere created by indigenous African handicrafts and art. A delightful water feature runs through the main public areas, creating a natural source of waterborne plants and provides a home to many indigenous species of reptiles, amphibians and birds |
Serengeti Sopa Lodge |
Serengeti Sopa lodge is located in the Nyarboro Hills in the south west of the Serengeti National Park, and is the only tourism development in this section of the Park. The vicinity of the lodge boasts a fair amount of game due to the year-round water and the acacia woodland. This offers a pleasant stay as you spot game at your doorstep. Situated on the slopes of the hills the lodge offers magnificent views over the rolling plains of the National Park. Access to the lodge is via a tarmac highway to Makuyuni and then an all weather road through Mto-wa-Mbu, Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area highlands. The alternative is a one-hour scheduled or chartered flight from Arusha to Seronera followed by a 45-minute drive through plentiful wildlife to the lodge. Spacious rooms, each with two double beds welcome you to a comfortable stay, while a swimming pool invites you to cool off in the African sun. |
Seronera Wildlife Lodge |
Seronera Wildlife Lodge is situated in the central part of the Serengeti. It has 75 double rooms. The building was constructed in the 1960's almost entirely of wood and glass around a natural "kopjes" or rocky outcrop. The spacious bar and restaurant have views over the plains and there is an open terrace outside from which to view the sunset. |
Ikoma Bush Camp |
Set in the midst of an incredible vista of savannah and skies, sheltered in a grove of acacia trees is Serengeti Tented Camp. Ideally situated along the path of the migrating wildebeest between Kenya and Tanzania, the camp is situated at the border of the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. There you will find yourself on probably one of the best game drives in the area - along the western corridor of the park, taking in Kirawira and the Grumeti river - home to the infamous wildebeest-eating giant crocodiles. There is no better place to take in one of the world's greatest wildlife spectacles. |
