This small yet luxurious hotel is situated in the heart of Zanzibar's historic Stone Town, where East meets West. Beyt Al Chai |
Built on 3 floors, this traditional house was at one time a tea house. Perfectly located on the famous Kelele Square the Beyt Al Chai allows you to experience the ambiance of Stone Town. Only a few paces form the sea, the house is cool and breezy and the top floor bedrooms have a wonderful sea view.
Guests are within easy walking distance to all the attractions of Zanzibar town and in the evenings, all the restaurants are very nearby. Add to a personalized service, fully air conditioned rooms, modern sanitary facilities and Beyt al Chai is the best choice for a luxury visit to Stone Town. 6 bedrooms and suites divided in three categories: 2 Sultan Rooms with private bathrooms and a superb sea view ; 3 Prince Rooms with private bathroom and separate dressing room ; and 1 Princess Room, slightly smaller but as original as the others with a good size bathroom. No bar or restaurant in order to maintain the character of this antique building, but there are close by in the Stone Town. However, there is a beautiful breakfast courtyard, one of the jewels of this house - the perfect place to relax taking in the magical atmosphere and sounds of the town while gazing at the turquoise blue Indian Ocean views. |
